Young KAGIDER Days – Dumplupınar University

On March 9th Dumlupınar University hosted the Young KAGIDER Days event. Sponsored by JP Morgan, and attended by 700 college students, the theme of the event was “Working Woman, Strong Family, Developing Turkey”.

The panel started with th eopening speech of Dumlupınar University Director Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karaarslan’s, in which she described women as the “architects of life.”

After watching Young KAGIDER’s awareness film, member of the board Münteha Adalı gave her opening speech, and stated that Sevim Güral, member of KAGIDER was the main supporter of hosting the event at Dumlupınar University.

Pınar Kapralı Görsev pointed out the importance of entrepreneurship via her presentation on “My First Idea, My First Enterprise”. She added “Ideas are worthless unless they are implemented. You can only enhance your idea by sharing it.”

The panel was moderated by Münteha Adalı, and the speakers included head of Kütahya Sanayi and President of Chamber of Commerce Nihat Delen, HSBC Bank England Member of the Board of Directors and Enkuba Co-Founder Piraye Antika and Big Chefs founder Gamze Cizreli. While Nihat Delen spoke about the balance between business and personal life.

Piraye Antika shared her experiences with the youth and said that “You should be pioneers and entrepreneurs in everything you do and you should take reasonable risks.”

Gamze Cizreli who spoke at the panel shared her advice and experiences and said “If you have the strength to fall and get up again, be an entrepreneur.”

In the second part of the panel, the speakers answered the participants’ questions.
