WE WILL ENLIGHTEN THE NEW CENTURY OF OUR REPUBLIC

Dear KAGİDER Members,

Throughout the history of the Republic, women's struggle has played a significant role in societal progress. Under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the revolutions transformed the presence of women in society, modernizing it. Day by day, women have begun to play more active roles in various areas such as education, business, politics, and social life. As we step into the new century of our Republic, shaping the future and accelerating societal progress is in our hands. Women who have gained freedom, emancipated from societal roles, and are more actively engaged in the business world are taking and will continue to take important steps for the overall welfare and development of society.

As members of The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER), your success stories in your businesses, the light you spread to society, your productive efforts in both KAGİDER and other NGOs are valuable references that represent the most virtuous and respectable examples we can offer to society in the second century of our Republic. We are working tirelessly to invest in the future and support women's labour in all fields, valuing the presence of women in the business world. Our goal is for the number of women entrepreneurs to continue to increase significantly in the Republic of Türkiye. With this motivation, we are working to increase the women's employment rate, which was 31.6% according to the data published by TÜİK on February 19, 2024, to 50% as soon as possible.

Sincerely, my wish is to achieve a level of prosperity where we no longer need to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th. Only then will it be time for all women in the world to rest. Until we reach this goal, we must all continue to work diligently.
