WOMEN WILL ENLIGHTEN OUR NATION'S NEW CENTURY

Throughout the history of the Republic, women have played a significant role in the process of societal progress. Under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the reforms transformed the presence of women in society, modernizing their roles in education, business, politics, and social life. Day by day, women have begun to play a more active role in various fields, contributing to societal welfare and development.

As we step into the new century of our Republic, shaping the future and accelerating social progress are in our hands. Women who have gained freedom, transcended societal roles, and taken more active roles in the business world are making and will continue to make significant strides for the overall welfare and development of society.

The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER) extends its gratitude to all young women who have fought for increased presence in society, education, and the economy, each with their own success story. We also thank all women who inspire young girls and raise their voices in the struggle for women's rights.

On the occasion of March 8th, International Women's Day, during the second century of our Republic, KAGİDER remains committed to investing in the future and supporting women's labour in every field. We emphasize the importance of women's presence in the business world and strive for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs.

Our goal is for Türkiye to continue increasing the presence of women entrepreneurs significantly. With this motivation, we are working to increase the women's employment rate, currently 31.6% according to the data published by TÜİK on February 19, 2024, to 50% as soon as possible.

Let us together listen not only on March 8th but ideally every day to the voices of women, echo the struggle of women, and examine the positive impact created by socially and economically empowered women in their surroundings. Every day, let us take steps towards a more just future because increasing women's labour will build a stronger foundation for the future and women will always strive for a more prosperous future.

Since our establishment, KAGİDER has been committed to achieving women's economic freedom, increasing women's entrepreneurship and leadership roles. On International Women's Day, we invite all stakeholders who contribute to raising awareness to join us in sustaining this approach throughout the year.
