The seventh edition of the "İyi İşler" project, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs and enhancing their businesses, has commenced through a collaboration between Boyner Group and KAGİDER.
This year, the program prioritizes women entrepreneurs in earthquake-affected areas, with a total of 43 women, including 20 from these regions, receiving training to develop their business models and integrate into the economy.
Boyner Group, with its central focus on the "Sustainable Goodness" model across all social projects, continues to champion "İyi İşler," placing women at its core. Recognizing the disproportionate impact of unequal living and economic conditions on women and believing that societal well-being can only be achieved through equality, Boyner Group has launched a new phase of the "İyi İşler" project.
Since 2015, and in collaboration with KAGİDER for the past five years, the "İyi İşler: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Food and Non-Electronic Retail" program's seventh training phase prepares women entrepreneurs and cooperatives, particularly those in earthquake zones, to become integral parts of the project. To date, 119 women entrepreneurs have graduated from the program, with 43 women, including 20 from earthquake-affected regions, joining this year's cohort. Participants will undergo comprehensive, nine-week training covering 20 different topics, including communication, strategic planning, finance sources for growth and new investments, contracts and business law, debts, and tax law.
Ümit Boyner, Board Member of Boyner Group, stated, "Women's economic independence is essential for a better future."
Highlighting that "İyi İşler" is a tangible result of their long-standing commitment to empowering women, gender equality, and women's employment, Ümit Boyner emphasized, "Our priority in every project and initiative we undertake is inclusivity and diversity... It is our greatest happiness to be among the leading groups striving for gender equality in Türkiye." He continued, "Women not only improve their own lives but also have the power to enhance the lives of those around them, the institutions they work for, and the societies they live in. Therefore, we view women gaining economic independence not as a revolt but as an indispensable aspect for a better future. This year, women from earthquake-affected regions also participated in our program, which is of great value. In the new phase, we aim to expand the 'İyi İşler' program further, strengthen women's presence in the business world, provide educational opportunities, and contribute to gender equality. I believe 'İyi İşler' aims not only to benefit Boyner Group but also to foster a broader change in the business community."
Esra Bezircioğlu, President of KAGİDER, affirmed, "Chase your dreams; we are always by your side."
Expressing KAGİDER's longstanding commitment since its inception to increase women's employment and the number of women entrepreneurs, Esra Bezircioğlu stated, "Empowering women in every aspect of life is one of the most crucial topics on Türkiye's agenda today. For 21 years, KAGİDER has envisioned a Türkiye where women and men are equally represented in all aspects of life, have equal opportunities, and where women hold equal positions in business management and the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Together with our partners, we are working to realize this dream. The 'İyi İşler' program is a project that contributes to this vision of ours. The program has supported 119 women from various cities in Türkiye to expand their businesses. Women entrepreneurs have learned how to overcome many obstacles through education and mentorship provided by the program. The successes of the graduates have also inspired other women entering the workforce."
"It is particularly important that women entrepreneurs from earthquake-affected regions are participating in our project this year. Their interest has delighted us. I congratulate the 43 women entrepreneurs, including 20 from earthquake-affected areas, for their courage. I believe that through these training sessions, they will not only gain access to new markets but also differentiate themselves in competition. Chase your dreams; we are always by your side."
