KAGIDER Accomplished the Germany Study Visit Hosted By Konrad Adenauer Stiftung

As a part of the EU Concentration of KAGIDER, a study visit was organized to Germany encompassing several meetings in two cities Hannover and Berlin. KAGIDER Delegation composed of President Gülseren Onanç, Vice-Presidents Ayla Sevand and Dilek Bil, Board Members Esra Tekil and Berrin Kuleli, EU Representative Aslıhan Tekin and Deputy Secretary General Nuray Özbay had a number of Ministerial level meetings.

 

Ministries of Migration and Integration, Foreign Relations, Security, Science and Education were visited. Moreover, a discussion platform with the Turkey origin women entrepreneurs, National Media representatives, Women Entrepreneur Association VDU and CDU party was also established.

 

In partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, KAGIDER also organized a panel discussion entitled: “ I Want a Job!: Women Entrepreneurs in Turkey and Germany”. The discussion was moderated by CDU deputy Emine Demirbüken-Wegner while the panelists Gülseren Onanç, Ayla Sevand, Dilek Bil, Aynur  Boldaz, Petra Ledendecker and Antje Ripking presented their alternative views on women entrepreneurship and empowerment.

 

KAGIDER representatives established several joint project initiatives which will target social integration and empowerment of the Turkey origin young migrant women in Germany.
