IMPLEMENTED IN COLLABORATION WITH VICHY, KAGİDER, AND BÜYEM

EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM BEGINS IN HATAY

Initiated with the aim of providing psychological and economic support to women affected by the earthquakes in Hatay, which are centered in Kahramanmaraş, the "Dermocosmetic Specialist Training and Employment Program," realized with the collaboration of Vichy, Turkey's Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER), Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM), and with the support of L'Oréal Foundation, started on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

In the first stage of the project, a total of 64 hours of physical training will be provided over a period of two months to 120 women affected by the earthquake at the Education and Production Center established by KAGİDER at the Hatay Expo Fair Area. Within the scope of the program, which will be conducted in 16 sessions, BÜYEM will provide training on sales techniques, communication, customer experience, and sustainability, while L'Oréal trainers will conduct training on skin and skin health, product education, and case studies. Upon completion of the training, meetings will be arranged with the Pharmacists' Chambers with Vichy references for women who request it to evaluate employment opportunities in Hatay and surrounding provinces.

"We aim to be with women at every moment of life"

Stating that they have implemented many projects to support women living in the region since the first day of the earthquake, Sinem Saraçer Turanlı, General Manager of Dermatological Beauty at L'Oréal Turkey and Country Ethics Representative, said, "As the leading brand in dermocosmetics in Turkey, Vichy aims to be with women at every moment of life with both our skincare products and projects that give meaning. Since the first day of the earthquake in the region, we have witnessed once again the fact that women can not only lift their families but also their cities, regions, and countries with their courage, diligence, determination, and strong stance, during the studies we conducted with all our brands under L'Oréal Turkey. Being with women, supporting them, and encouraging them on this path is everyone's responsibility. The 'Dermocosmetic Specialist Training and Employment Program,' which we have implemented with the collaboration of Vichy, KAGİDER, and BÜYEM, is not just a job opportunity, but also a reflection of our efforts to empower women and contribute to social healing. We believe that this program is an important step for women to discover their potential and achieve economic independence, beyond education and employment. We wish our project to offer brand-new beginnings to women in Hatay for a stronger tomorrow."

"We will ensure women grasp entrepreneurship and employment"

Esra Bezircioğlu, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of KAGİDER, said, "As KAGİDER, we have come together to support the power and potential of women. We are striving for hope and healing in Hatay, which has been affected by earthquakes, and working with all our strength to contribute to the post-earthquake recovery processes. With the 'Dermocosmetic Specialist Training and Employment Program,' which we are jointly conducting with L'Oréal Vichy and BÜYEM, we will ensure that strong and determined women grasp entrepreneurship and employment. This program will not only provide education but also be a source of hope for women affected by the earthquake. We will continue our efforts to produce permanent solutions with the aim of sustainable regional development. I believe that we will take firm steps and walk together to support women's employment and entrepreneurship."
