IBM Vice President Marylin D. Johnson and KAGIDER organized a “Global Supply Chain Conference” which took place at –We on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
Global Supply Chain giants WeConnect International, IBM, Quantum Leaps and KAGIDER members of this global network exchanged perspectives at –We. Improving global competitive advantage, facilitating access to diverse markets, and creating greater efficiency in products and services in order to gain recognition from different groups are among the topics addressed in the opening remarks made by KAGIDER President Gülden Türktan.
IBM's Vice President Marylin D. Johnson, spoke of the importance of "Global Supply Chains" and WeConnect CEO, Sue Lawton, explained how small-scale farmers could grow their operations by using the global supply chain strategies.
Quantum Leaps CEO Virginia Littlejohn, the last speaker of the session, highlighted the importance of a good strategic action plan that meets the needs of the women entrepreneurs in developing their business and pointed out that business should be told what to do.
After the meeting, IBM officials and KAGIDER members’ global business partnership reviewed the possibility to establish links for the future.
