A Gender Sensitive Procurement Summit was held in partnership with the United Nations (UN) Women's Unit, KAGIDER and Global Compact Network Turkey. It brought together the business world, civil society, public institutions, international organizations and entrepreneurial women. In the sessions held within the scope of the Summit, which was funded by Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the difficulties experienced by entrepreneur women in inclusion in their supply chains and solution suggestions were discussed. Companies participating in the summit presented their projects within the scope of supporting women entrepreneurs. Steps to be taken to enable entrepreneurial women to enter supply chains were discussed in panels. The Summit, which aims to increase gender-sensitive purchasing practices in Turkey in the eyes of the private and public sectors, provided a suitable environment for the participants to get to know each other, better understand the challenges in the purchasing ecosystem, and propose solutions.
