Within the framework of the second Social Benefit Awards organized by *DÜNYA* Newspaper, social projects by the private sector, public institutions, and local governments were honored. During the ceremony, where KAGİDER Vice President Güzin İlker presented two separate awards, prizes were given in 7 main categories and 40 subcategories. The “Good Jobs” project, carried out in cooperation between KAGİDER and Boyner Group for the past 10 years, was awarded in the category of Sustainable Cooperation.

KAGİDER Board Member Gülin Yücel participated as a speaker in the “Women Leaders in Business” program organized by IBB Women as part of the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women”.

KAGİDER President Esra Bezircioğlu spoke at the panel *“We Are on the Same Path! NGOs and Social Development”* held during the “We are Back to the Future Summit” organized by YenidenBiz. Bezircioğlu emphasized the importance of digital, green, and social transformation for women in employment and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

KAGİDER EU Representative Ayşe Yürekli participated in the third anniversary event of the “Brussels Declaration” in Brussels, developed in collaboration with EWMD, EWoB, FEDEPE, Collabwith, PWN Global, WEgate, WEP, and Oxford Brookes University. The declaration, announced in 2021 and supported by many organizations, focuses on women’s empowerment, increasing decision-making authority, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, work-life balance, and combating violence against women. Yürekli also exchanged information with partner institutions.

KAGİDER EU Representative Ayşe Yürekli attended a high-level reception organized by the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the EU, upon the invitation of Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Republic and the 60th anniversary of the Turkey-EU Association Agreement.

As part of the KAGİDER Artificial Intelligence Workshops, a “Prompt” training was held. Participants had the opportunity to develop their skills by learning effective prompting techniques to unlock the potential of artificial intelligence.

Jury meetings were held as part of our “Sana İlham Akademisi” project. Among the women entrepreneurs who participated in the trainings held in 5 provinces, 5 were selected and granted a total of 500,000 TL in financial support to help their ventures thrive.

December 5–6, 2024

In cooperation with Migros, the 5th edition of the Agricultural Women Entrepreneur Development and Acceleration Program was held in Istanbul. The opening of the event was conducted by Ekmel Baydur, Executive Board Member Responsible for Marketing at Migros Group, and KAGİDER Board Members Dilara Koçak and Beyza Beyzade Berkol. 40 women entrepreneurs from 24 different cities participated in the program.

In the December edition of KAGİDER’s Economy and Market Talks, our guest speaker was Özlem Denizmen.

KAGİDER EU Representative Ayşe Yürekli participated as a speaker in the Policy Dialogue event organized by the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), the Kofi Annan Foundation, and International IDEA, with the support of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). The high-level event focused on identifying priorities and defining thematic and geographical scope for building an effective European Democracy Shield. Stakeholders from a wide range including civil society organizations, Member State representatives, EU institutions, academia, and the media came together.

As the Turkish partner of the GFEB project aiming to promote green transformation among women entrepreneurs in the Balkans, KAGİDER organized a webinar titled “Good Practice Examples of Green and Sustainable Businesses by Women Entrepreneurs”. We listened to the experiences of women entrepreneurs from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Greece, and Turkey who work in the field of sustainable and green businesses.

As part of the “Orange Support for Women Entrepreneurs” project organized in partnership with KAGİDER and ING Turkey, an online training session was held for women entrepreneurs and entrepreneur candidates in Kahramanmaraş. In this session, KAGİDER Member Attorney Burcu Ekşioğlu provided information on Financial Regulations.

KAGİDER EU Representative Ayşe Yürekli attended the 20th Anniversary events of the Liaison Group of the European Economic and Social Committee as a representative of an EU Enlargement Candidate Member. This structure serves as a channel that allows civil society to engage in and influence the EU agenda and decision-making processes and organizes the annual Civil Society Week event in Brussels.

The Roundtable Meeting of the Women’s Leadership Platform was held. At the meeting, we listened to good practice examples, experiences, and recommendations regarding gender-sensitive procurement models implemented by institutions.

KAGİDER EU Representative Ayşe Yürekli participated in the Turkish-German Sister Cities Conference held in Berlin, where she met with high-level local politicians and officials from Turkey and Germany to strengthen existing relations.

The new term of trainings for the “Good Jobs” project, carried out in cooperation between Boyner Group and KAGİDER, has begun. In its 10th edition this year, the program includes women entrepreneurs working in textiles, leather, and accessories, participating in a 9-week comprehensive training. This term, we reached 30 women entrepreneurs from 9 different cities. At the end of the program, participants will join the “Good Jobs” alumni network and become part of a strong ecosystem of solidarity and cooperation.

KAGİDER Board Members Neşecan Çekici and Özlem Demirci Duyarlar presented the FEM certificate during a ceremony.

The “Beyond Technology, On the Path to Equality” summit of the “My Dream for the Future Project,” implemented in partnership with Ford Otosan and with KAGİDER as a stakeholder, was held online. KAGİDER Project Manager Özge Yurttaş participated in the summit.
