KAGİDER participated in the kick-off meeting of the G-FEB Project, which supports the green transformation of women entrepreneurs in the Balkans. The meeting brought together stakeholders from 7 countries, with KAGİDER as Türkiye’s representative partner.

In partnership with ING Bank Türkiye, KAGİDER visited local stakeholders in Kahramanmaraş as part of a project aimed at empowering women and supporting local economic development in the region. Consultations were held with women who wish to start or expand their businesses.

Later that day, a new member orientation meeting was held to introduce KAGİDER’s projects, principles, and operations to recently joined members.

9–10 December 2023

The “Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture Development and Acceleration Camp” was held in collaboration with Migros, bringing together 65 women entrepreneurs from the agriculture sector.

The two-day program covered a wide range of topics from general economy to branding.

Speakers included KAGİDER President Esra Bezircioğlu and Migros CMO Ekmel Baydur.

Board Member Manolya Tanla served as a panelist and jury member at the SheMeansBusiness Program (by TOBB, Facebook, and Habitat Association), where she highlighted KAGİDER’s earthquake region projects and the importance of social impact in business.

At İstasyon Hatay, co-organized by Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, GEN Türkiye, TOBB, ICC Türkiye, Habitat Association, and KAGİDER, a solidarity and networking event was held with mentors and entrepreneurs. The space aims to become a hub for learning, innovation, and resilience in the post-disaster context.

Also that day, Vice President Şila Gök spoke at the launch of the “A Stitch of Goodness, Life Again” project by the Women-Friendly Brands Platform, stressing the importance of unity for full equality.

The 7th cycle of the “Good Business: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Non-Food Retail” program launched in collaboration with Boyner Group. President Bezircioğlu shared an empowering message: “Chase your dreams — we are always by your side”.

President Esra Bezircioğlu hosted Oya Eroğlu, President of GIFED (Entrepreneurial Businesswomen Federation), and board members at KAGİDER HQ.

Later that day, the I AmChamPion Awards ceremony was held under the theme “100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.” The awards, supported by KAGİDER Secretary General Yeşim Seviğ as part of the technical committee, recognized firms strengthening Türkiye–US trade. President Bezircioğlu attended on behalf of KAGİDER.

Board Member Selen Erdeniz spoke at Istanbul Bilgi University’s “Sustainability and Innovation in Business” event, highlighting KAGİDER’s projects and impact.

On the same day, Secretary General Yeşim Seviğ attended the National Agency Advisory Board Meeting to present KAGİDER’s perspectives.

President Esra Bezircioğlu participated in the closed-door session of the “Women’s Power for the Future Summit”, discussing equality and diversity with leaders from academia, business, and civil society.

Later, the traditional KAGİDER New Year’s Dinner was held with strong member participation. Special thanks to the Members and Association Relations Committee, and to Elif Çoban, Selen Erdeniz, Hesna Yılmaz, and Bahar Atay for organizing the gifts.

At the launch of the “Support Local, Create a Vocation” project, funded by the EU and managed by ICMPD under the ENHANCER Program, Board Member Selen Erdeniz gave the opening speech. The project is run under the coordination of Türkiye’s Ministry of Industry and Technology.

KAGİDER received the “Future in Our Hands Sustainability Award” from TOBFED’s independent jury for its support of women entrepreneurship and exporters. The award was presented to President Esra Bezircioğlu during the summit.
